About HearAge
HearAge is made by Redsprint Ltd, an independent app studio registered in England and Wales. We build small, focused iPhone and Mac apps for photo restoration, journaling and planning. Hearing is the newest.
Why a hearing app
One in three adults over 65 has hearing loss that affects daily life, yet most wait years before doing anything about it. The barriers are familiar: appointments, cost, and not knowing whether there's anything to worry about in the first place.
Meanwhile, the phone in your pocket and the headphones in your drawer are capable of a genuinely useful screening, and of amplifying the world in a way that's tuned to your actual hearing rather than a volume knob. Apple ships this for AirPods Pro owners; HearAge brings the same idea to any headphones.
What we believe
- Your hearing data is yours. Results are created and stored on your device. We never see them, and there's no account to create. Read the privacy policy; it's short because there's little to disclose.
- Honesty about limits. A phone screening is not a clinical audiogram, and we say so in the app, on every result, and in our methodology page.
- Built for the people who need it: large type, big targets, plain language. Hearing apps are used by 70-year-olds; ours is designed like it.
